I swear it's the last chicken post -
A Black chicken isn't really black. She has a bluish/purplish/greenish hue and when the sunlight hits the feathers just right, the colors pop. My pictures does not show it justice. This is Licorice, our Black Sex-link chicken.
I am in love with our Golden-laced Wyandotte. This little gal has such a mixture of colors in one feather. They all combine to make a richly colored bird. She will grow up to be large and beautiful.
And finally, for softest chicken ever - I'd like to introduce Goldie, our Buff Orpington. Her feathers are addictively soft. If I was ever going to have a "lap-chicken" - she's the one I'd want. There is something soothing about stroking her soft feathers.
And now I Promise - no more chicken posts. That's it. I'm done.
