After we downloaded Jammin's pictures, we decided we needed to do the same with Buttercup's camera....
I told Dave, "Buttercup's camera needs to be downloaded."
Dave sat down at the computer with her camera. He called everyone in and we sat and looked at some of her pictures....there were some great ones from last spring; baby chickens, Caboose with his binky, and other such events.
We laughed and smirked.
Dave left the computer and sat on the couch to watch tv.
Buttercup wanted to take more pictures. I removed her memory card from the computer dock and handed it back. (here is where I failed - I ASSUMED Dave had downloaded the pictures....no, he had only "opened file")
Jammin' took Buttercup's camera and showed her the "delete all" button....assuming, as well as I, that all pictures were safely downloaded onto the computer.
Buttercup pushed the "Delete All".
I sat down at the computer today to write up a great blogpost on Buttercup's pictures.
They were no where to be found.
"Dave...." I hollered from the office. "Where are Buttercup's pictures you downloaded yesterday?"
"I never dowloaded her pictures." he yelled back. "I just opened the file and looked at them."
Tears, accusations, argument, assumptions.
It doesn't matter. They are gone. wiped. deleted.
Next time, questions will be asked. Assumptions will be not made. Facts will be checked.
