#1 - Jammin did NOT receive his Perfect Attendance Award at school today. Why? Because his 60 minutes at the dentist way back in November was counted against him. THE F@CKERS. I think that was a shitty move by the school. Well - mama is going to make it up to him. We will recognize this achievement at home!!!
#2 - I am feeling bad and a bit guilty. Remember my Freak Neighbor - the one I totally think evil thoughts about? He was hit by a garbage truck. Don't laugh.....he was on his bike and the garbage truck made a right turn, caught and dragged him for a while. He has been in the hospital for over a week now and might lose his leg. I hope my evil thought wishing didn't spur this on.
#3 - There will be no summer camps for my kids this year. Having two children attend private school is going to be pricey. (and I'm starting to freak out a little about how much money we will be spending each month on education). As far as country-wide prices for private school, this school is probably 1/2 the cost of anywhere else. (there are deep pockets in this community who donate a lot to the school, which keeps the tuition costs down - thank you Deep Pockets). Having two children in full-time will double our price. Thus, all extraneous costs are being cut, like summer camps. It might be a really long summer.
#4 - The Caboose had NOTHING yesterday. All we did was sing to him. No cake, no gifts, not even a special dinner. (he ate left-over spaghetti). Dave had a long day and didn't get home until 10pm. I was exhausted after spending the entire afternoon with Jammin's class and the Caboose was on the cranky side. Well - no worries, folks. He is getting a full-on party this Saturday....but, I still feel bad to not have honored his actual birthday.
#5 - Before going to bed, I turned the water on the strawberry plants. I asked Dave to turn the water off before he went to bed. He forgot. This morning when I checked, there was a HUGE flood....and into the neighbors yard too. I can only imagine the freaking water bill. ACK.

1) that sucks, so petty
2)it's not your fault, he probably has other enemies wishing bad things.
3)Iv'e never been and i turned out ok. :O
4)Saturday works for me lol
5)OH NO!!!

That's bad news about your neighbor, even if they are a knob :(

No worries, we'll make it up to the little guy at his party tomorrow. And as far as creepy neighbor, there is no blame to be placed on you. So don't worry about it too much. You can just pray he'll recover and keep his leg.

That school sucks not to recognize him! Don't worry about Caboose...he is too young to remember and you are still having his party on Sat...no worries! Don't worry about the neighbor...karma works in mysterious ways! No summer camp...you are a rockin' mom and will come up with creative ways to keep everyone busy!

Number 1 makes me mad. It reminds me of the time in grade 5 when I got 99 percent on a spelling test because I forgot to cross the T on my name.

I cannot believe a dental appointment is counted as non-attendance.
I have to say I feel a sorry for your 'freak' neighbour let's hope they manage to save his leg.
I'm sure you will find things to do during the summer that will be as enjoyable as the camps.
Don't feel bad Caboose will be spoiled rotten on Sunday and will have a great time.
Oh dear the water bill won't help the budgeting :(

I would have had something to say about no. 1 if I was there. How rude! And yes he deserves something special.
I'm sure Caboose does not mind at all about the birthday thing. I know quite a few people who do not celebrate at all and their kids are happy. Hope the party was fun!

Yeah, we lived out in the country and drove in for the 'good grades' recognition banquet, which was cinnamon rolls at 7 am before school. then the principal came in and said that they were considering cancelling school and wouldnt run bus routes because of the blizzard coming in. So we were taken home before school started. The busses wouldn't be running. It was white out conditions. The farmer drove us through a cornfield because the roads were so packed with snow. They didnt cancel school, the townies still were there. That was the only day I missed. They didnt count me being there early or the fact that I was literally sent home because otherwise I wouldnt have been able to GET home. As$holes. I missed perfect attendance because of that. What a bunch of crap.

One by one those things add up, don't they? They seem to pile on. *sigh*
Chin up, Karmyn, they can't last forever.

Jammin totally deserves the Perfect Attendance Award!!
I'm thinking private school for all 3 of mine in the fall. And I'm totally panicked about the cost.
