I just finished altering this lovely book for a blogger I had not met until now - Judy from Judy's Notebook. I don't know how she did the paint job but it was VERY intriguing and felt nice under my fingers.
Now, I have to confess, I had trouble altering this book. Not because I was having a brain freeze or my creative juices dried up, but because I found the book so dang interesting.
It was a book on Aromatherapy, a topic that I find fascinating. As I perused through the pages, I found myself wishing I actually owned a copy.
However, I did jot down a few notes before I covered my page:
For Scenting a Winter Fire
4 drops Ginger oil
4 drops Sandalwood oil
4 drops Orange oil
Sprinkle on 3-4 logs of wood 15 minutes prior to lighting the fire, for a delicious aroma redolent of Christmas.
For Treating Muscular Pain
3 drops Ginger Oil
3 drops Eucalyptus oil
all in 600 ml of hot water
Squeeze out a flannel and apply the hot poultice to the affected area.
I LOVE the smell of ginger - oh, and by the way, I did not alter the page on ginger. Instead, I chose to redesign the Basic Foot Massage pages. I couldn't bare to alter any of the others. Isn't that silly of me?
I can't wait until my next book arrives!

I'm really not creative at all. When I scrapbook, I have to look at example pages and then just copy them. The most I can do to put my own spin on them is to change the colors of paper!

I am in no way being sarcastic what I say that is truly a work of art!

Lovely cover! I'm fascinated by aromatherapy. There's a woman in my yoga class who makes her living by it. Wild!!!!

Hey! You could have cut the ginger pages or portions that you liked. That's altering. And painted the stubs black. Haha. All's fair in altering books. Can't wait to carve into yours.

In some ways I wish I'd joined. But I was totally lost on what I could alter without permanently disfiguring!!
That is gorgeous

Wish I could hang that on my wall!
I swear I can now smell the scents you wrote of, LOL.

It does sound like a good book and difficult to choose a page. I hope there are a few left when it gets to me so I can peruse too. :)

I joined and then backed out. I was feeling so overwhelmed when all this started and now I could kick myself. I told Lisa I would alter hers and you can send me yours after all the other altering is done. I would love to tarnish a page or two. :o)
