Update #2 - or Damn, it was just gas.
Last Friday night, after a rousing T-ball game, we ate pizza a bit later than normal. As soon as I laid down for bed, the most serious of pain crossed my abdomen - every ten minutes. I was so sure it was labor. I was positive this baby was coming early.
Dave slept soundly, unaware of the potential excitement. I decided to let him sleep while I kept my eye on the clock. After one hard "contraction" I rose from the bed and decided to move around. Upon doing so, realized the pains I was feeling was not labor pains, but merely gas disguised as such.
Was I disappointed? A little. But strangely enough, I was also relieved. I wasn't quite ready to have this baby. The calendar for this week is crammed full of events. A new baby would only hamper my schedule. He can wait. (but Saturday is fair game kid!)
*******
I always schedule my doctor appointments for Tuesday when Buttercup attends preschool. I love my daughter dearly, but having a tag-along to appointments really drains the energy. This morning, just as I was about to head out the door, the preschool called. Buttercup was not feeling well. I needed to pick her up. (possible bladder infection?). So, she went along to the doctor.... all the while crying "I missed Snack at school. I didn't get to eat my snack." SNACK?!
A hungry Buttercup is not a happy Buttercup. A hungry Buttercup spells T R O U B L E. I wanted my appointment to be as quick as possible. Therefore - my doctor did not check my cervix. I have no news to report on dilation or effacing. So sorry - but believe me, getting Buttercup home to crackers, juice, and cheese was more important than knowing I may have dilated another centimeter.

I'm sorry there's no word. But think about it this way -- it just makes everything more of a surprise!! weeeeeeee!
17 days? That's all that's left? DANG sis, you're so damn close! I can't wait to meet my nephew.
Love you tons!

No no now. We must wait until the 21st. That's two whole weeks from now. You sit and relax...kick back....and cross your legs....and stick a plug in it...and.... :o)

I am feeling for your poor, crowded bladder and the frequent three-drop piddles you have to do at this stage :)

I found a great resource that may be a help to buttercup, the Dietary Supplement Information Bureau, they offer lists of natural remedies that are really helpful for little ones. Here's the link:
